I have inserted some images of where I would like to shoot my opening scene. My scene is supposed to be based on New Yorks waterfront and I believe that the Albert Dock in liverpool suits this very well. As long as I make sure to keep out any famous Liverpool landmarks I think that this will work perfectly.
