Influences on my film

I have watched several films that are close to my chosen genre and I have taken some inspiration from them.
For my dialogue I like this scene from Goodfellas

It is very slick and fast paced. Also the two main characters have great chemistry and although they are obvious friends he is still intimidated by him. I would like something similar to that in my film.

The conversation is snappy, natural,slick and looks very realistic.

Music for my film

In my film i will use a song by The Verve called Rolling People. I have chosen this song as it has a long intro and has a powerful beat that suits the style of my film.

Change of Location

I have decided that I will not use a restaurant for my film and instead film the whole piece in Liverpool city centre. I have decided that as I believe it would provide a much better feel and give a more professional style to my film. I will film the first part of my scene between miday and night as the light will look good. The second part will be filmed in the morning.

Cast for my film

In my scene I have two main characters.

Sonny Frazier-

A young man who has risen to the top of one of the largest crime families suprisingly fast. He is smart and cocky and proud of it. He commands the other characters with arrogance and demands respect. He knows that he is untouchable and will take down anyone that gets in his way. He hides the power he weilds behind a smile and charm.

Christopher 'Swifty' Jones-

A small time assassin from the bad side of town. Nicknamed Swifty after his ability to escape from even the most impossible situations with relative ease. Still only young he has come to ease with killing people for money as normally they seem to deserve it. Plus unlike his previous crimes, robbery, arson etc, this is a victimless one. The mission he is about to embark on is far above the level of anything he has ever done before.

Synopsis for my film

My film is a gangster action fusion. My opening scene will combine both of these genres clearly.The synopsis for my film is:A gangster requires help from a small time assasin on a crucial job. At first the job appears simple, get to the location on time, kill the guards get the brief case and go. But the deeper the assasin gets the more he realises that this isn't an every day job. It seems that this not only involves every major crime family in the country, but the police and even the government. As time runs out for him to figure out the reason he was chosen for this suicide mission he must decide...kill or be killed

Content- An action gangster film where a small time assasin is sucked into a world he never knew existed. As his mission becomes more complicated and more questions are left without answers he must choose between kill or be killed.
